Environmental Education

We offer environmental education to Marshall County folks of all ages and backgrounds, both large and small groups! Every year we visit classrooms, day camps, civic groups, farmers markets, county fairs … just give us a call!

What is environmental education?

• Helping county residents understand the local waste stream, both trash and recycling
• Sharing ways to reduce waste and reuse materials to preserve the environment
• Teaching and fostering environmental conservation and sustainable lifestyle practices, such as composting and water conservation
• Providing information on “recycling right” for maximum landfill diversion and how to dispose of household hazardous waste
